Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Driver in Pomona

 
POMONA, CA (December 10, 2019) — A man died Monday morning after being struck by a vehicle in a pedestrian crash on Temple Avenue.
 
The 12:21 a.m. crash unfolded near the Shell gas station right before the 57 Freeway off-ramp.
 
Investigators learned that the pedestrian was crossing Temple Avenue at a marked intersection when the eastbound driver hit him. When paramedics arrived at the scene, they found the victim lifeless, later pronouncing him deceased.
 
The involved driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police. Shortly after questioning, officers released him pending further investigation.
