1 Person Critical After Crash on Old Ranch Road in Citrus Heights

Citrus Heights, CA (April 25, 2024) – On Thursday, one person sustained critical injuries in a crash on Old Ranch Road.

After an accident in Citrus Heights, emergency responders transported one person in critical condition to the hospital. 

According to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, following a two-car crash, a car struck a tree. 

Rescuers removed an unconscious victim from the car and took them to the hospital with significant injuries. 

The current status of the victim remains unknown.

Authorities reported the crash just after 5 p.m. in the area of Old Ranch Road and Oak Avenue. 

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but police have ruled out DUI as a factor.

The Citrus Heights Police Department announced that Old Ranch Road’s east and west lanes would be temporarily closed due to the accident. 

Police are advising people to use an alternate route.
