MADERA, CA – Man Dies in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Collision on Highway 99 Near Avenue 12

Pedestrian Hit, Killed by Hit-and-Run Motorist in Madera

MADERA, CA (December 11, 2018) – A 62-year-old pedestrian lost his life early Monday morning following a hit-and-run crash on Highway 99 at the Avenue 12 on-ramp.

Officials received a call regarding a body lying in the roadway. When officers responded, they found a 62-year-old Madera man who had been struck and killed by a hit-and-run motorist.

The driver who struck the victim fled and might have fled northbound on the highway. Unfortunately, there is no description of the vehicle available at this time, but authorities are investigating this case further.
