James Lee Injured, Mark Trumbull Detained Following DUI Two-Vehicle Accident on 82 Freeway Near Highway 225
BENTON CITY, WA (June 21, 2019) –A 48-year-old man sustained injuries in Friday’s DUI hit-and-run crash on the 82 Freeway near Highway 225.
According to the Washington State Patrol, a suspected DUI driver was speeding on the 82 Freeway around 6:45 p.m. The Infiniti Q60, driven by Mark Trumbull, struck a Honda Civic just four miles west of Benton City.
Trumbull, 47, however, continued traveling and abandoned the Honda driver, James C. Lee.
Shortly after, the WSP found the Infiniti and the Kennewick man about a mile from the crash where they arrested him on charges of DUI and hit-and-run.
Back at the scene, paramedics brought Lee to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
