Maricopa, AZ (May 18, 2024) Early Thursday morning, the Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway Crash between a motorcycle and a semi-truck left a male motorcycle rider dead.

According to Maricopa police, the motorcycle-Big rig collision happened at about 7 a.m. on the Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway near Hartman Road.

Reports say that the fatal collision closed the highway between White and Parker Road and Murphy Road for several hours.

Officials responding to the scene found the motorcycle rider lying injured in the road. Authorities say that the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are investigating the fatal collision and have not released further information at this time.
