Ventura, CA (September 6, 2024) – On Friday afternoon, a bicyclist died in a crash on Adolfo and Santa Rosa roads.

The accident occurred shortly before 2:10 p.m. at the intersection of Adolfo and Santa Rosa roads, said Ventura County Sheriff’s Capt. Ken Truitt. 

The sheriff’s office handles police services in Camarillo. The woman was hit by a white cargo van, Truitt said. 

She was transported by ambulance to Los Robles Regional Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead. 

Her age and city of residence were not immediately known, and she was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. 

The van driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, according to Truitt. 

Roads near the intersection were closed for traffic investigators but reopened by around 6 p.m.
