Honda Driver Injured in DUI Collision on 1st Street [Cheney, WA]

Cheney, WA (November 4, 2023) – A Honda Civic driver sustained injuries following a DUI collision on 1st Street Sunday.

The traffic accident happened past midnight at the intersection with F Street.

Witnesses said a white Cheney Camaro driven by a 20-year-old man was down the road at approximately 100 miles per hour.

At the same time, a Honda CRV was pulling out from a parking lot onto 1st Street when the Camaro struck them.

As a result, the Honda spun and slammed into a tree located on the sidewalk. 

Responding officers spoke with the Camaro driver and conducted a field sobriety test to determine if the driver was driving under influence of drugs and/or alcohol.

Later on, the Cheney Police Department arrested the Camaro driver for driving under the influence.

The Honda driver was treated on scene.

Officers are still investigating.
