Big Rig Crash on Interstate 5 Hurt Two People

 
Sacramento, CA (November 2, 2020) – On Saturday, two people were hurt in a big rig crash on Interstate 5.
 
The crash happened at around 12:30 p.m. wherein a pickup truck cut off the tractor-trailer.
 
As a result, the big rig jackknifed and flipped several times from the southbound lanes before resting on its wheels along the center median.
 
Further, the cab of the big-rig was flatted and destroyed. Also, debris was scattered across the four-lane roadway
 
Immediately, the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene. Caltrans’ said there was no estimated time of clearing. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes if possible.
 
The Cosumnes Community Services District Fire Department responded to the crash. Upon arrival, they found the big-rig driver and the Dodge Ram pickup driver injured but out of their vehicles.
 
Rescuers transported the victims to Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento Medical Center in the conscious mind but with unknown injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the California Department of Transportation issued a SigAlert for the incident. Caltrans reported the lanes were cleared around 4 P.M.
