1 Killed in Watsonville Pedestrian Crash on Green Valley Road

 
WATSONVILLE, CA (June 11, 2020) – Monday night, a 33-year-old woman suffered serious injuries in a pedestrian crash on Green Valley Road.
 
The police came to the scene at 7:43 p.m. on Green Valley Road and Minto Road, north of Watsonville.
 
According to the CHP Officials, a 53-year-old male driver of an eastbound 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee on Green Valley Road struck the woman. Meanwhile, the said driver claimed he struck the female pedestrian walking in the eastbound lane of the road.
 
As a result, she sustained major injuries. Responders took her to Natividad Medical Center for treatment. Moreover, the Jeep driver from Watsonville sustained minor injuries in the crash.
 
The authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash. Furthermore, CHP officials also revealed that impairment didn’t play a role.
