MONTEBELLO, CA (April 29, 2021) – Wednesday morning, a hit-and-run crash on 60 Freeway near Markland Avenue killed a woman.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 2:00 a.m. on 60 Freeway near Markland Avenue.
 
Reports revealed that the 18-year-old woman got out of a car. As she walked on the freeway and possibly walked across the lanes, a vehicle hit her.
 
Furthermore, CHP said that another vehicle struck the woman. Then, the vehicle fled the scene before they arrived.
 
Also, authorities believe that three young people were with the victim. Moreover, they reportedly fled the scene after the incident.
 
Furthermore, officers said that there is no description of the hit-and-run vehicle.
 
Meanwhile, the crash closed most of the westbound lanes of the freeway for a few hours.
 
All lanes have long since reopened.
