Woman Dead in Elk Grove Three-Car Crash on Sheldon Road

 
ELK GROVE, CA (July 9, 2019) — A woman died following a three-vehicle crash on Sheldon Road in Elk Grove on Monday, July 8.
 
According to the Elk Grove Police Department, just before 5:00 p.m., a driver was slowing down as she drove near Springhurst Drive from Sheldon Road. Then a Mazda CX5 rear-ended her Chevrolet Spark.
 
Her vehicle clipped a BMW before it stopped at the center median.
 
Officers discovered the woman unconscious at the scene of the three-vehicle crash. Police said that she later died at an area hospital.
 
Her identity will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
 
Police did not release any other information at this time. The incident is still under investigation.
