FRESNO, CA (February 27, 2020) – A woman sustained critical injuries following a pedestrian accident on Effie Street on February 25.
 
According to Fresno Police, a car struck the woman who is now listed in critical condition.
 
The authorities came to the crash scene at about 8:30 p.m. on Effie Street and Ashlan Avenue near Blackstone after receiving reports of the crash.
 
The police subsequently revealed that the woman was in the center median of the road, and suddenly walked the oncoming traffic.
 
The driver of the vehicle involved in the accident stayed at the scene. Meanwhile, several drivers also stopped to aid the woman on the road.
 
Responders later took the woman in critical condition to the hospital. Reports revealed that she will likely survive her injuries.
