No Injuries in Elk Grove Car Accident on Highway 99

 
ELK GROVE, CA (June 6, 2020) – Friday morning, a two-vehicle accident left gas leaks on Highway 99 in Sacramento.
 
The incident occurred on Highway 99, just south of Grant Line Road. The authorities dispatched a hazardous materials team to the crash scene.
 
The CHP officials revealed that the incident occurred about 6:30 a.m. when one of the semi’s tires blew out on the #1 lane. Then, the semi struck a cement barricade in the construction zone. As a result, the semi had a gas leak on the driver’s side and was then hit by another vehicle.
 
The authorities confirmed that both drivers are alright. The authorities requested two tow trucks to remove both vehicles from the crash scene.
 
The police also diverted the northbound traffic at Arno Road.
 
Meanwhile, Caltrans reopened one lane just after 7:00 a.m.
 
The police advised motorists to expect some slowing through the weekend due to major constructions on the highway.
