Collision on Silverdale Way Northwest Killed 29-Year-Old Motorcyclist Trevor Sauers
Silverdale, WA (July 16, 2020)– A motorcycle collision occurred on Silverdale Way Northwest which killed a motorcyclist Trevor Sauers on Friday night.
The tragic crash happened on July 3 when two off-duty firefighters living around the incident area heard the collision.
At 9:45 p.m., the collision took place and the firefighters immediately responded and gave first aid to the victim. Then deputy sheriff and emergency crews also arrived.
The motorcyclist, identified as Trevor David Sauers, 29, from Silverdale was seen traveling southbound in the 8700 block of Silverdale Way NW.
According to the witnesses, Sauers was driving at a high rate of speed and hit the rear of a southbound vehicle.
Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Silverdale Way Northwest
Due to its impact, Sauers also struck the rear window and roof of the 2006 Suzuki Aerio sedan. The motorcyclist then landed onto the car’s windshield. After that, Sauers fell off the side of the car and eventually landed on the road.
Furthermore, the motorcycle was found in the middle of the roadway by first response arrival. After the collision, a northbound 2011 Hyundai Sonata was unable to avoid the vehicle. Thus, it also struck the motorcycle, according to the sheriff’s report.
