Stockton, CA (October 22, 2023) On Saturday morning, a pedestrian was killed after a traffic collision on Interstate 5.

According to CHP‘s Stockton office, the tragic crash happened around 6:16 a.m. on southbound Interstate 5 near the Fremont Street offramp.

Authorities say that the collision involved a semi-truck and several other cars. Officials say that a truck struck a pedestrian before other vehicles hit the pedestrian’s body.

Officials pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.

CHP is investigating the fatal pedestrian crash and have not released additional information at this time.
