Teenagers Arrested in Stolen Vehicle Crash on 1500 Annie Street [Beaumont, TX]

Injuries Reported in Beaumont Auto Accident on 1500 Annie Street

BEAUMONT, TX (March 19, 2023) – Thursday, authorities arrested teenagers following a stolen vehicle crash on 1500 Annie Street.

Beaumont Police Department Officers from the Special Assignment Unit were patrolling Church Street. Then, they received information of a report of a stolen black Dodge Durango that had passed them.

As the officers searched the vehicle, they were notified of a crash involving a black Dodge Durango that had crashed into a fence in the 1500 block of Annie Street.

As per a statement released by the Beaumont Police Department, the officers witnessed five individuals, two girls, and three boys, walking away from the vehicle.

Then, the girls were detained, but the three boys managed to flee from the officers. However, they were apprehended after a thorough search.

An officer from the Beaumont Police Department sustained an injury during the search and was treated at a hospital, but has since been discharged.

Since all the suspects are minors, their identities have not been disclosed.

Moreover, the police believe that a 15-year-old boy was driving the stolen Dodge. Then, responders took him to the hospital for treatment after the crash.

Pending charges are being considered against him. Additionally, two 14-year-old girls were released to their parents. Meanwhile, a 14-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy went to the Minnie Rogers Juvenile Detention Center for evading on foot.
