Steven Manriquez Killed after Accident on 210 Freeway near Sunflower Avenue [Glendora, CA]

1 Dead in Glendora Crash on 210 Freeway

 
GLENDORA, CA (November 4, 2020) – Monday night, Steven Manriquez died in an accident on the 210 Freeway near Sunflower Avenue in Glendora.
 
According to the report, the rear-end crash between a car and a big rig happened at around 11:35 p.m.
 
The authorities revealed that 27-year-old Steven Manriquez of Rowland Heights drove a 2015 Toyota Avalon. As he traveled in the No. 4 lane of the freeway, he rode “at a high rate of speed.” Then, his vehicle rear-ended a 2004 Freightliner big rig.
 
“The force of the collision caused (him) to be fully ejected from the Toyota Avalon,” the CHP revealed. “It is unknown if (he) was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision. An unknown vehicle passed by the scene and struck (his) body which was lying in the roadway.”
 
Meanwhile, the 57-year-old truck driver, Cesar Morondo of Lake Elsinore, suffered no injuries.
 
“Alcohol and/or drugs may have played a factor in this collision,” the CHP added.
 
At this time, the authorities haven’t made any arrests. However, the authorities encouraged anyone with information about the crash to contact CHP Officer Christopher Jones at the CHP Baldwin Park Area office at 626-338-1164.
