Police Chase Ends with Crash on Orangewood Avenue and Knott Street [Garden Grove, CA]

2 Arrested after Garden Grove Auto Accident on Orangewood Avenue

 
GARDEN GROVE, CA (September 8, 2020) – Sunday night, a police chase ended with a crash on Orangewood Avenue in Garden Grove.
 
At about 11:25 p.m., the driver entered 91 Freeway, went to 55 Freeway, and headed to 405 Freeway at a speed of at least 100 mph. Then, the vehicle went off onto surface streets.
 
As the vehicle fled from the police, the driver drove across an intersection and was clipped by a large RV. Then, the vehicle spun out multiple times before it crashed into a pole. It finally stopped at Orangewood Avenue and Knott Street.
 
According to reports, the two occupants of the RV were uninjured. Meanwhile, the driver and passenger of the suspect vehicle immediately opened their doors. The driver started running. However, the authorities managed to detain him shortly. Also, the authorities took the passenger in custody.
 
The authorities haven’t clarified what violation caused the chase.
