Pedestrian Killed in Santa Cruz Traffic Collision
Santa Cruz, CA (January 05, 2022) On Tuesday, a pedestrian died after being struck by a car in a fatal accident on Ocean Street.
Officers say that the incident happened at around 6:39 p.m. in the 500 block of Ocean Street near Soquel Avenue.
Additionally, authorities say a man was on the road after he was struck by a car heading south on Ocean Street.
Despite the Santa Cruz Fire Department‘s paramedics’ 20-minute efforts in trying to save the man’s life.
Unfortunately, paramedics say that the pedestrian was dead on the scene.
According to the Santa Cruz Police Department, the driver realized that they hit someone and stopped and reported the incident to 911.
Moreover, police say that the driver shows no signs of impairment and is very cooperative during the investigation.
Meanwhile, no information of the victim nor the driver was available at the moment.
