VICTORVILLE, CA (May 11, 2021) – Sunday afternoon, a motorcyclist sustained injuries in a crash on La Mesa Road near Pacoima Road.
 
According to authorities, the crash occurred at around 4:52 p.m. on La Mesa Road near Pacoima Road.
 
Reports revealed that a motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed drove around a vehicle to pass it. Then, the rider lost control and rear-ended a 2019 Honda Accord. Afterward, the motorcycle caught fire after the crash.
 
Furthermore, responders transported the motorcyclist to a trauma center via helicopter.
 
Also, paramedics confirmed that the female driver of the Honda and her two young daughters suffered minor cuts from glass shards. However, they were not transported to a hospital.
 
Meanwhile, Victorville City Fire put out the fire at the scene.
 
The incident is under investigation.
