Michael Hernandez Involved in Redding DUI Crash

 
Redding, CA (November 3, 2020) – On Monday, Michael Hernandez of Santa Rosa was arrested in a DUI crash on the 2400 block of Corona Street.
 
The incident happened before 7:30 a.m. when Officers from the Redding Police Department responded to the scene to investigate a series of a hit-and-run crash. Apparently, the incident possibly involves a DUI driver.
 
Hernandez’s car crashed with an occupied vehicle in the area of Hartnell Ave at Victor Avenue. Then, he also struck a parked vehicle in the 3900 block of Polaris Street, prior to arriving at a family member’s residence on Corona Street.
 
Immediately, officers contacted Hernandez who was driving a 2004 burgundy Pontiac Grand Prix.
 
Hernandez refused to comply with the commands of officers on the scene. However, he ultimately surrendered without incident, said the police.
 
Further, the investigation determined Hernandez caused a disturbance at the Circle K gas station. Also, he struck an employee with items from inside the store.
 
So, the employee pepper-sprayed Hernandez, who immediately left the scene in his vehicle.
 
Police said no injuries were reported from the incident.
 
Additionally, police said Hernandez appeared intoxicated. He evaluated him for driving under the influence, according to RPD.
 
The authorities booked Hernandez into Shasta County Jail.
