Man Fatally Injured in Stockton Train Crash on West Lane
STOCKTON, CA (August 5, 2019) – A man died after an Amtrak train accident on West Lane in Stockton on Saturday, August 3.
According to Officer Joe Silva of the Stockton Police Department, the collision happened on the train tracks on the 2600 block of West Lane near Alpine Avenue around 7:30 a.m.
The victim, whose identity was not immediately determined as of 1:45 p.m., died at the scene.
Amtrak trains have remained to their normal schedule, Silva stated.
The circumstances on how the incident happened were not yet released. No other information was available.
