VISALIA, CA (February 15, 2022) – Sunday night, a man died in Highway 198 pedestrian crash in Central Visalia.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on Highway 198 and Central Visalia exit.
 
Reports revealed that a Subaru Forester struck a 40-year-old male pedestrian. Moreover, the incident happened as the pedestrian run across the highway from the center median. Meanwhile, the Subaru driver remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.
 
Moreover, responders rushed the victim to Kaweah Health Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
 
Furthermore, authorities said that it is still unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident. No arrests were made at this time, CHP added.
