Driver Arrested in Peoria Deadly Crash
Peoria, AZ (May 4, 2024) – A pedestrian sustained fatal injuries following a 79th Avenue accident Thursday night.
A pedestrian was fatally hit around 10:40 p.m. near Olives Avenue.
The driver involved remained at the accident.
Officers suspect the driver was impaired during the collision and consider speed a possible factor.
Meanwhile, another driver crashed through the barricades at the crash scene during the investigation. The authorities arrested that driver for DUI.
The second driver is facing nine endangerment charges.
Troopers are still investigating these traffic incidents.
