THURSTON COUNTY, CA (February 6, 2023) – Saturday afternoon, authorities arrested a man after a stolen vehicle crash near Meridian Road and Martin Way.
The incident occurred after a man reportedly stole a vehicle. Thus, deputies responded and used spike strips that slowed down the Ford F-350. However, the driver traveled recklessly on Meridian Road Northeast.
Eventually, it collided with two vehicles and overturned near Meridian Road and Martin Way.
Officers noted that the driver escaped from the crash scene before being arrested. Also, officers confirmed that the man was “in possession of a substance consistent with cocaine.” He also tried to reach for a screwdriver in his pocket during his arrest.
Thus, officers booked the man on suspicion of eluding a police vehicle, theft of a motor vehicle, hit and run with injury, and possession of a stolen vehicle.
