Around 8:30 p.m., Karina E. Nyboer was driving behind a vehicle that swerved to avoid the illegally parked Chrysler. Nyboer had no time to avoid the impending crash and plowed into the car. She was brought to Kadlec Medical Center in Richland for treatment and is now recovering at home.

Charges are still pending at this time and anyone with information about the driver’s whereabouts is asked to contact the authorities.

When driving, we never know when we may encounter trouble. Always keep your eyes peeled when driving and keep a safe distance in front of the car ahead of you. Never look away from the road and put all distractions away. We may still have time to avoid a crash by allowing enough road clearance ahead of us.
