Baumberg Avenue Traffic Accident Kills 86-Year-Old Woman
Hayward, CA (March 25, 2023) – On Thursday, Julia Severino, 86, sustained fatal injuries following a 2-vehicle collision on Industrial Boulevard.
The vehicle crash happened at 5:05 p.m. Thursday near the intersection with Baumberg Avenue.
Investigating officers said the vehicle Severino was driving collided with another vehicle driven by a 54-year-old man.
Severino was the only sole of her vehicle and was located unconscious with multiple injuries inside the vehicle. The rescuers took her to a hospital where she died.
Moreover, the man who was also the only occupant of the other vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. Officers said he complained of pain but it was not immediately known if he required medical treatment.
An unoccupied parked vehicle was also struck by at least one of the vehicles.
In the meantime, officers are still investigating the Baumberg Avenue traffic accident. Officers do not believe alcohol or drugs were factors in the accident.
