Jesus Mauris Killed in Pedestrian Accident on the 605 Freeway [Santa Fe Springs, CA]

Jesus Mauris Fatally Struck by Two Vehicles on 605 Freeway

Santa Fe Springs, CA (June 17, 2020)  – On Saturday, Jesus Mauris, 36, was killed in a pedestrian accident on the 605 Freeway near Telegraph Road.

The accident happened around 2:11 am when Mauris was hit by a car. Then, another vehicle hit his already injured body.

CHP reported the victim sustained severe injuries and died at the scene. It is not clear at the moment why Mauris was walking on the freeway that morning.

The second motorist who hit Mauris’ body stayed on the scene. Then, the first motorist who hit him returned after he discovered damages to his car.

CHP is still investigating the probable cause of the crash. They ask any possible witnesses to reach out to Officer V. Montemayor at 562-868-0503 if they think they can provide additional information.
