James Dore Killed in El Sobrante Pedestrian Crash on Hilltop Drive

James Dore Hit, Killed by Vehicle on Hilltop Drive Near El Centro Road

EL SOBRANTE, CA (December 19, 2018) – A pedestrian was killed Tuesday night after being struck by a vehicle on Hilltop Drive near El Centro Road.

James Dore was the 80-year-old El Sobrante man who died at the scene. Around 6:12 p.m., California Highway Patrol officers were summoned to the scene, south of the Hilltop Green neighborhood community. The coroner was then called to the area around 6:42 p.m.

It was not clear how Dore was hit, whether he was in a crosswalk or who was at fault. Anyone with information regarding this crash is urged to contact Contra Costa office at 925-646-4980.
