87-Year-Old Ivan Teklic Dead After Crash on 32nd Street and Beardsley Road in Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ (February 18, 2024) – On Saturday morning, 87-year-old Ivan Teklic died in a crash on 32nd Street and Beardsley Road.

Phoenix police officers arrived at a crash scene near 32nd Street and Beardsley Road at 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 17, where they discovered two heavily damaged vehicles.

 A black four-door vehicle contained two people, and a teal four-door vehicle held one individual.

Officers identified the man in the teal vehicle as 87-year-old Ivan Teklic. After transporting Teklic to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. 

The black vehicle’s driver and passenger sustained no serious injuries. Detectives have determined that the black vehicle, traveling north on 32nd Street at high speeds, collided with Teklic’s vehicle. 

The police found no impairment signs in the driver of the black vehicle.

The identities of the black vehicle’s driver and passenger remain undisclosed.

 Police have not provided further details.
