Injury in Malloy Avenue Rollover Crash [Ferndale, WA]

Ferndale, WA (August 17, 2021) – On Saturday, injuries were reported in Malloy Avenue rollover crash.

Officers responded to the scene at about 12:40pm near the intersection with Thornton Street.

The authorities said there were three people in the black BMW M3 when the accident happened. One of them refused aid, while the rescuers treated and released one at the scene, and the last one had fled the scene by the time aid arrived.

Witnesses at the scene said the driver left the scene running north on Malloy Avenue.

Moreover, investigating officers said the vehicle was northbound on Malloy Avenue at a fast speed. It crossed the center line and left the road on the west side. 

Officers said the vehicle rolled at least once if not more before ending up right-side up in the front yard of a residence.

Also, the BMW left an obvious trail of debris as it collided through garden rockery. The vehicle tore down a small tree and split off a branch of a large evergreen and tore up 2 large patches of sod in the yard where it finally rested.

A vehicle in a drive-way appeared to have had windows broken and sustained driver’s side damage from the flying rockery.

Meanwhile, the officers found the driver about a half-mile from the accident scene and took him to PeaceHealth St Joseph Medical Center by ambulance. 

The authorities are still investigating the Malloy Avenue rollover crash.
