San Diego Multi-Vehicle Accident on Interstate 15 and Mira Mesa Boulevard

SAN DIEGO, CA (January 21, 2024) – Last week, a startling 4-vehicle crash on Interstate 15 and Mira Mesa Boulevard led to injuries.

The incident happened last January 14th at 3:38 p.m. on northbound Interstate 15, just south of Mira Mesa Boulevard exit.

According to reports, the crash involved four vehicles. They confirmed that a Jeep Gladiator struck two other vehicles and veered off the roadway, striking a freeway sign before going up the embankment of the right shoulder.

After the Jeep came back down, it struck a freeway light pole and rolled several times. Then, one of the involved vehicles struck the debris in the traffic lanes.

Reports said that two women were seen walking away from the crash. They left their male friend behind and another report said that a second male wasn’t found at the scene.

Meanwhile, responders took the male who was at the scene to a local hospital with major injuries. Then, the two females were also transported to a local hospital with facial injuries.

Officers noted that a lot of beer cans were found around the Jeep. Hence, the authorities suspect that DUI played a role in the crash.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued the investigation.
