SALINAS, CA (November 22, 2023) – Monday night, a horrific bicycle crash on East Blanco Road near La Mesa Drive killed 1 person.

The incident happened just before 8:10 p.m. According to reports, a cyclist was struck by a grey Jeep on East Blanco Road near La Mesa Drive in South Salinas.

Meanwhile, at 8:12 p.m., a Salinas fire medic declared the victim as a possible fatality, the CHP added.

Also, the roadway was temporarily shut down due to the collision. Then, it reopened at about 10:20 p.m.
