PETALUMA, CA (June 24, 2020) – Late Sunday morning, the authorities arrested Hipolito Zarate after an injury crash on Petaluma Boulevard.
 
According to the Petaluma police, at around 10:40 a.m., 55-year-old Hipolito Salinas Zarate traveled south on Petaluma Boulevard north.
 
However, he then crashed into the rear of another car that had slowed to make a turn into a driveway.
 
After conducting a field sobriety test, the authorities found out that Zarate was intoxicated.
 
Thus, they took him into custody for felony DUI (causing injuries). Then, they booked Zarate to the Sonoma County Jail, where he stayed late Sunday with a bail set to $100,000.
 
Meanwhile, the two injured victims received treatment at the scene. Since they suffered only minor injuries, the authorities released them upon treatment.
