34-Year-Old Woman Involved in University City Vehicle-Pedestrian Collision
San Diego, CA (December 23, 2022) On Thursday morning, a traffic accident on Genesse Avenue sent a 44-year-old man to the hospital.
SDPD says that the vehicle-pedestrian collision happened at about 7:30 a.m. in an east crosswalk in University City.
Reports say that a 34-year-old woman driving a Toyota Prius made a right turn and struck the man on the crosswalk. Officials say that the Toyota was turning right from northbound Campus Point Drive.
Authorities say that female driver did not yield to the pedestrian and consequently hit the man. The pedestrian suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Paramedics transported the male patient to a hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, the female driver stayed at the scene and was not showing signs of impairment at the time of the crash.
