Motorcycle Accident With Driver Turns Deadly in Nice

 
NICE, CA (May 29, 2019) – A Monday night collision involving a motorcycle and a car resulted in a fatality on Highway 20 near Pomo Way.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred near the Pomo Pumps Gas Station around 11:40 p.m.
 
Original reports stated that the accident involved a pedestrian and a motorcycle; however, officers later clarified that it involved a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a Chrysler vehicle. A report following that indicated that a third vehicle may have been involved.
 
It is unclear at this point how many cars were truly involved in the deadly crash.
 
A Northshore Fire battalion chief arrived and determined that one person was down in the roadway. The CHP subsequently pronounced the victim on the road dead on arrival.
 
Information surrounding what caused the motorcycle to crash with the involved vehicle remains scant, but more investigation is underway.
