1 Killed in Dublin Traffic Accident on Interstate 680 near Acosta Boulevard
DUBLIN, CA (November 13, 2022) – Saturday morning, a driver died in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 680 near Acosta Boulevard.
The incident happened at around 3:00 a.m. on southbound Interstate 680, north of Acosta Boulevard.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Mercedes C230 collided with the center divider of the interstate for still unknown reasons. Then, a Ford Fusion struck the disabled Mercedes. The force of the crash ejected the Ford driver into the roadway. Moments later, a semi-truck struck the Mercedes and another vehicle.
Moreover, officers confirmed that the Mercedes driver died at the scene.
Furthermore, authorities do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident.
Meanwhile, the fatal crash remained under investigation.
