Chula Vista, CA (March 24, 2023) On Thursday morning, a devastating crash on Interstate 5 claimed the life of a pedestrian.

Reports say that the fatal collision happened on I-5 north in Chula Vista around 3 a.m.

Authorities are looking into the fatal collision, officials say that a vehicle struck the pedestrian walkning in the traffic lanes.

The driver stayed at the scene and waited officials to arrive. Meanwhile, the pedestrian was hit by muliple other vehicles and was pronounced dead at the scene.
