Fresno, CA (April 28, 2020) – Saturday afternoon, 19-year-old Carson Gates and James Anderson was arrested after a hit-and-run crash on Nees and Chestnut.
The collision between a car and a truck occurred around 3:00 p.m., on April 27. Gabrielle Bawcum said that her cousin Carson Gates was in a passenger seat while his girlfriend was driving.
Bawcum also said, “They had the right of way, they were just turning, they had a green light and the driver had a red light and he blew through it and he crashed into the passenger side and he killed my cousin instantly.”
An oncoming truck hit Gates’ vehicle which caused the collision on Nees and Chestnut. Due to the impact, the victim was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
