1 Person Injured in Turlock Hit-and-Run Accident near E Olive Avenue and N Golden State Boulevard

TURLOCK, CA (June 18, 2023) – Sunday morning, authorities arrested Brian Medeiros after a DUI crash near E Olive Avenue and N Golden State Boulevard.

The incident happened at around 12:30 a.m. near the intersection of E Olive Avenue and N Golden State Boulevard.

According to the Turlock Police Department, a red 2013 BMW 3 Series ran a red light, collided with a gray 2015 Ford Focus then fled the scene. Moments later, the BMW driver stopped at the intersection of E Main Street and N First Street to cooperate with the authorities.

Moreover, American Medical Response transported the Ford driver to a hospital with minor injuries. Then, officers arrested and booked the BMW driver, 20-year-old Medeiros, into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center, on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol causing bodily injury to another person, driving with a blood alcohol content of .08% or greater causing great bodily injury to another person, and fleeing the scene of an accident resulting in injury or death to another person.

At this time, the circumstances involved in the crash remained unclear. When additional information became available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, authorities continued to investigate the crash.
