Injuries Reported in Richmond Deadly Crash
Richmond, CA (April 24, 2024) – 6-year-old Amadeo Alvarez Jr sustained fatal injuries following a Carlson Boulevard DUI crash Wednesday night.
The deadly collision happened near the intersection of with Cutting Boulevards.
Investigators said 29-year-old Ramiro Rojas-Barrios of Richmond struck the vehicle occupied by the victim.
Five people were injured in this collision, including Amadeo who unfortunately died. Amadeo’s two sisters and father were injured.
The authorities arrested the alleged hit-and-run driver into custody Monday. Rojas-Barrios was charged with felony counts of manslaughter while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident, and driving under the influence of alcohol and drug while causing injury.
