54-Year-Old Woman Killed in Big Rig Collision on Highway 140 near Hayden Road [Le Grand, CA]

Driver Fatally Injured after Le Grand Big Rig Accident on Highway 140

 
LE GRAND, CA (May 29, 2019) – A 54-year-old woman from Modesto died following a big rig collision in Le Grand on Saturday, May 25.
 
The accident occurred shortly before 12:30 p.m. when the woman swerved her car into a big rig on Highway 140 near Hayden Road.
 
According to Merced California Highway Patrol officers, eastbound traffic had stopped for the big rig turning left into a driveway. Then the woman, traveling from behind, failed to stop. She swerved left to avoid collision with other cars and then her vehicle crashed into the turning truck.
 
The woman died at the scene. Her identity is not yet released at this time.
