44-Year-Old Fairfield Resident Killed in Three-Vehicle Crash on 4200 Sonoma Boulevard [Vallejo, CA]

1 Dead in Vallejo Multi-Vehicle Accident on 4200 Sonoma Boulevard

 
VALLEJO, CA (December 20, 2022) – Sunday night, a 44-year-old Fairfield resident died in a three-vehicle crash at 4200 Sonoma Boulevard.
 
The incident involving three vehicles happened at about 7:55 p.m. in the 4200 block of Sonoma Boulevard.
 
When the authorities arrived, they located a 2913 BMW SUV that had crashed with a 1965 Chevrolet sedan that was disabled in the roadway.
 
Also, a third vehicle, a 1999 Honda, was hit as it was parked assisting the victims in the Chevrolet.
 
Meanwhile, the initial investigation revealed that the BMW headed north on Sonoma Boulevard. Then, it struck the rear of the Chevrolet.
 
According to reports, the 44-year-old driver of the Chevrolet was outside of his vehicle. As a result, he suffered fatal injuries.
 
Meanwhile, a 48-year-old Chevrolet female passenger from American Canyon sustained injuries. Another person sustained injuries in the crash.
 
Meanwhile, the BMW driver showed signs of intoxication. Thus, authorities arrested the 30-year-old Vallejo man for vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence. Then, they booked him into the Solano County jail.
 
At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed the identity of the deceased due to pending family notification.
 
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash. Furthermore, they urged anyone with information to contact Corporal Lenard Alamon of the Vallejo Police Department Traffic Division – at (707) 648-4329.

Reports said that the incident marked the 24th fatality this year.
