Man Dies in White Center Hit-and-Run Crash
White Center, WA (April 29, 2024) – 81-year-old Thomas Garrett sustained fatal injuries following a SW Roxbury Street collision Monday night.
Garrett was fatally hit by a Jeep at the intersection with 15th Avenue SW.
Witnesses said the involved vehicle continued driving and left the victim to die.
Cleven Ticeson, Garrett’s cousin said Garrett was kind, considerate, and thoughtful while Garrett’s family said he was a musician, a handyman, and a devout Buddhist.
Garrett’s family and friends held a vigil for him and called on the county leaders to pay attention to the area and to support it in safety improvements.
The King County Sheriff’s Office is asking the everyone’s help in finding the suspect who was driving a silver 2007-2016 Jeep Compass with front-end damage to the grill and hood.
