Officers Search for Carolina Street Traffic Accident Suspect
Bellingham, WA (January 28, 2023) – On Friday, a 38-year-old man sustained injuries in a Woburn Street hit-and-run crash.
The traffic collision took place at about 6 p.m. at the intersection with Carolina Street.
“There were witnesses who reported seeing a vehicle strike a person walking across the street and then flee the area without stopping to check on the injured male,” said police Lt. Claudia Murphy.
The victim was unconscious while the firefighters transported him by ambulance to St. Joseph hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the suspect vehicle which is a light-colored pickup truck faces charges for fleeing the scene of the collision.
“If anyone was driving in the area of Woburn, between Alabama and Iowa between 5:55-6:15 p.m. and saw what happened, or if you have a dash cam and captured video along Woburn during that timeframe, please contact us,” Murphy added.
