CHP Investigates Multi-Vehicle Crash on Pacific Coast Highway in Ventura County

Ventura County, CA (March 18, 2022) – Friday evening, three people sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle crash on Pacific Coast Highway.

The multi-vehicle crash in Ventura County happened at around 5:15 p.m. on a stretch of the coastal highway between Deer Creek and Sycamore Cove Beach.

CHP said the crash involved three vehicles. The trapped patient suffered major injuries while the two other patients sustained minor injuries.

Moreover, rescuers extricated the trapped patient around 6 p.m. and loaded onto Copter 8 for transport to Ventura County Medical Center.

Two of the cars had heavy damage,  and one had moderate damage. 

Further, CHP reports indicated a Toyota RAV4 and a Cadillac CTS needed tow trucks. 

No other information is immediately available.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
