Several People Injured in Sacramento Train Crash on Marconi Avenue

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (August 23, 2019) – Twenty-seven people sustained injuries in a train crash on Marconi Avenue on August 22.
 
The collision between a passenger light rail train and a maintenance train occurred about 9:45 p.m. at Marconi Avenue and Roseville Road, west of the Winter Street light rail station.
 
As a result, two people sustained moderate injuries while twenty-five are walking wounded, the Sacramento Fire Department revealed.
 
Meanwhile, thirteen of them went to nearby hospitals while the other 14 received treatment at the scene.
 
The Sac RT is currently investigating the cause of the collision.
