Moses Lake Crash Kills Evalee Sanchez, Injures Lurie Buza

 
Moses Lake, WA (June 15, 2021) – On Sunday, 2-year-old girl Evalee Sanchez of Moses Lake died and 34-year-old Lurie Buza of Maple Valley was injured in a vehicle crash on Dodson North Road.
 
The accident took place at about 3:30 p.m. near Road 4 Northwest.
 
Officers said Buza was northbound on Dodson Road North while 22-year-old Edgar Alba of Moses Lake was southbound.
 
Alba attempted to turn left onto Road 4 Northwest. His vehicle turned in front of Buza’s vehicle as it went into the intersection from the opposite direction.
 
As a result, Buza’s vehicle crashed into Alba’s rear passenger side, where Evalee was seated.
 
Sanchez was severely injured in the crash. Rescuers airlifted her to Central Washington Hospital where she later died.
 
On the other hand, Buza, an adult passenger, and two children ages 6 and 4 incurred non-fatal injuries.
 
Meanwhile, Alba’s adult passenger and 6-month-old child also incurred non-fatal injuries. All children in his vehicle were in car seats.
