2 Killed in Lone Pine Traffic Crash on US 395 near South Haiwee Canyon Road
LONE PINE, CA (July 18, 2022) – Saturday afternoon, two people died in an auto accident on US 395 near South Haiwee Canyon Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 1:04 p.m. Moreover, it occurred on U.S. 395 near South Haiwee Canyon Road.
Reports revealed that a northbound Hyundai Sonata failed to slow down. Then, it rear-ended a northbound 2006 Freightliner Big Rig.
Moreover, responders pronounced the two occupants of the big rig, the 23-year-old male driver and his 22-year-old female passenger, dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the big rig driver sustained no injuries in the collision.
