Four Hospitalized after Two-Vehicle Crash on North First Street in San Jose

San Jose, CA (April 22, 2022) – Early Friday morning, one person died and four others sustained injuries in a two-vehicle crash on  North First Street.

The fatal crash in San Jose happened at around 1:20 a.m. on April 22, in the area of North First Street and Montague Expressway.

Reportedly, the driver of a stolen vehicle being chased by a sheriff’s deputy in San Jose crashed into another vehicle.

The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office said a stolen Honda CRV ran a red light and slammed into a Toyota sedan.

The Honda driver later died at the hospital. EMS also took the three occupants of the Honda and the driver of the Toyota to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident involves separate investigations, by the San Jose Police Department and the sheriff’s office.

Further investigation to determine the circumstances of this crash is ongoing.
